Privacy Policy
Last updated: 31 October 2026
This policy explains what data GramChef (this website) does and does not collect, and how cookies and advertising work here.
The tools collect nothing you enter
All GramChef calculators run entirely in your web browser, on your own device, using JavaScript. Text you paste into the converters — recipes, quantities, anything else — is never transmitted to us, stored on a server, or shared with any third party. We have no accounts, no sign-up, and no database of visitor content.
Information collected automatically
Like almost every website, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps) for security and operational purposes. If we enable privacy-respecting analytics in future, we will update this policy to name the provider and what it measures.
Cookies
GramChef itself does not set first-party tracking cookies. Cookies may be set by third-party services described below, in particular advertising partners. You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings; the tools on this site will continue to work.
Advertising and third-party cookies
GramChef is funded by advertising. We work (or intend to work) with advertising partners including Google AdSense and Adsterra. These partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve advertisements, including personalised ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, and to measure ad performance and prevent fraud.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising from Google by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of many third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices (US) or youronlinechoices.eu (Europe).
- Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are shown a consent message, where required, before personalised advertising cookies are used, consistent with Google's EU user consent policy and applicable law.
Third-party ad servers and networks have their own privacy policies governing the data they collect; we do not control their cookies and encourage you to review their policies. We never sell personal information.
Children's privacy
GramChef is a general-audience website about cooking measurements. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data held about you and to object to certain processing. Because our tools collect no user content and we run no accounts, we ordinarily hold no personal data about individual visitors beyond hosting logs and any email you choose to send us. To exercise any right, contact us via the contact page and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves — for example when an advertising partner is added. The current version will always be available on this page, with the date of the latest update shown at the top.
